Tense has been taken from latin word "tempus" that means time.
Such verb which denotes the time of an action or existance that is called time.

There are three types of tense.
1. Present Tense
2. Past Tense
3. Future Tense

A verb which shows that an action takes place in current time is called Present Tense.

A verb which shows that an action took place in past time is called Past Tense.

A verb which shows an action will take place in coming time is called Future Tense.
