
There are eight Parts of Speech.
A noun is a name of a person, a living creature, a place, a thing, an action, a state or quality.
Example: Aslam, book, cow, hospital, truthfullness, richness, youth etc.
A pronoun is a word which is used instead of noun.
Example: I, we, my, he, she, our etc.
An adjective is a word which is used to qualify a noun or pronoun.
Example: clever, ugly, some etc.
A verb is a word which tells us something about the subject.
Example: run, read etc.
An adverb is a word which is used to show the time, manner and degree of verb and adjective or an other adverb by modifying their meaning.
Example: tomorrow, there, hardly etc.
A preposition is a word that shows the relation of a noun or pronoun to some other word in sentence.
Example: on, at, in, to etc.
A conjunction is a word used to join the two statements, words or phrases.
Example: and, or, therefore etc.
An interjection is a word which expresses some sudden feelings of relief, pain, surprise and adiviration etc.
Example: Hurrah, Alas, how, what, oh etc.
