Kinds of Adverb

There are seven kinds of adverb.

1. Adverb of manner
2. Adverb of time
3. Adverb of place
4. Adverb of degree
5. Adverb of frequency
6. Relative adverb
7. Interrogative adverb

Adverb of manner

It tells about the manner of some action how it took place.

Example:
She danced beautifully.

Adverb of time

It shows when did some thing happen.

Example:
He is coming tomorrow.

Adverb of degree

It shows where some thing happen.

Example:
He brought him here.

Adverb of degree

Such Adverb which shows the degree of a verb or an adjective by telling how much or at what degree an action takes place.

Example:
almost, nearly, too etc.

Adverb of frequency

It shows that how often or how many times action takes place.

Example:
He is always in fime for meal.

Relative adverb

Such words which show relationship between nouns and connect one sentence to another sentence are called relative adverb.

Example:
1. I visited the house where he lived.
2. This is the reason why I left school.

Interrogative adverb

Interrogative adverb asks about an action. (why, where, when, how)

Example:
Why is he late? How did you come?
