There are four genders.

1. Masculine Gender
2. Feminine Gender
3. Common Gender
4. Neuter Gender

Such nouns which are used for man living things are called masculine gender.

i.e Male-Sex, boy, man, lion etc.

Feminine gender means female. Such nouns which are used for female living things are called feminine gender.

i.e Female-Sex, girl, woman, lioness etc.

Such nouns which are used for male and female are called common gender.

i.e Either sex: friend, child, bird, baby, student, pupil, teacher etc.

Neuter means non-living thing. Such nouns which are used for non-living things are called neuter gender.

i.e Neither-Sex, pen, book etc.
