Case

The relation in which a noun stands to some other words, is called case.

Kinds of case

There are three kinds of case.

1. Nominative or Subjective case
2. Objective case
3. Possessive case

1. Subjective case

When a noun or pronoun is used as the subject of a verb, the case is called subjective case.

Example:
1. Anwar threw a stone.
2. They took meals.

2. Objective case

When a noun or pronoun is used as the object of a verb, the case is called objective case.

Example:
1. Anwar threw a stone.
2. Rajeev likes to watch it.

3. Possessive case

When a noun or pronoun shows ownership of a thing, the case is called possessive case.

Example:
1. It is his car.
2. Tahir will help me.
3. The leg of a table.
