
The relation in which a noun stands to some other words, is called case.
There are three kinds of case.
1. Nominative or Subjective case 2. Objective case 3. Possessive case
When a noun or pronoun is used as the subject of a verb, the case is called subjective case.
Example: 1. Anwar threw a stone. 2. They took meals.
When a noun or pronoun is used as the object of a verb, the case is called objective case.
Example: 1. Anwar threw a stone. 2. Rajeev likes to watch it.
When a noun or pronoun shows ownership of a thing, the case is called possessive case.
Example: 1. It is his car. 2. Tahir will help me. 3. The leg of a table.
